What's a ROKA Girl to do in Paris?

This week ROKA has started to look at where the ROKA girl would go shopping in Paris, aside from the obvious ‘Triangle d’or’ whose streets are lined with the likes of Chanel and Prada, Paris has a cascade of interesting quirks to investigate.

Sweat Shop Café

The Sweat Shop Café is the spirit of a design studio collective within a cute tea room decorated in head-to-toe antiques. There are workshops on various forms of needlework as well as sewing machines available to rent by the hour or for a whole day. Then as you sew you can enjoy a slice of cake and a cup of tea, what could be more satisfying?

Merci

Merci, the creation of Marie-France and Bernard Cohen on Boulevard Beaumarchais, is a perfect place to find anything one could want in Paris. Flowers, books, fashion, homewares, haberdashery, antiques, kidswear, coffee - all bathed in sunlight within the loft-style displays. Varying from vintage to brand new products, each piece is donated by designers such as Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant, and with 100 per cent of its profits donated to charity you can shop safe in the knowledge that your purchase help others as well!
111 Boulevard Beaumarchais - 3rd, Metro Saint Sébastien Froissard

Eva Pritsky’s Flea Market

Flea Market by day, bistro by night; Eva Pritsky’s boutique is the perfect place to meet friends. Enjoy a drink and a chat whilst admiring the second hand oddities on offer, from the electric blue chair you’re sitting on to the fifties kitchen table you are gathered around. Pritsky’s is a truly great place to find treasured pieces.

XXO Warehouse

This is on for design lovers, XXO Warehouse is the insider’s favourite for hunting for bargain design treasures. New items arrive all the time; vintage furniture, period pieces, second-hand furniture, end-of-lines you are bound to bag a bargain or hunt out unique pieces.
78 rue de la Fraternité,
93 230 Romainville
